A lot of peculiarities in this painting : the choice of colors building up to a slanted reversed L-shape eventually leading to a straight frame, multicolored to the left and at the top, while monochrome to the right and at the bottom.

The hazy appearance has everything to do with the execution rather than the design. The white paint has less density wich clearly shows in the grid while the entire painting is covered with a layer of white haze, sprayed from a distance.
