Although the appearance of this painting looks a lot different from the majority of my work it is made with basically the same technique. As I explained before this technique has a lot of restrictions, especially given the fact that I am never using masking tape or templates of any kind.

I have to say I obtained the illusion of relief somewhat by coincidence after treating the canvas in such way that an impression of a third dimension occured.  Whether you look at it from the right or from the left, the optical illusion remains. Later on I have used that same treatment for other paintings as well.
