I do have a modest personal theory when it comes to striped paintings... I think vertical lines vitalize energy and action while horizontal lines reflect peace and calmness. Nothing scientific about it, just a simple feeling.

What really would be mind blowing though is if an examination could analyze the choice of colors and thereby explain my state of mind at the time I was executing the painting below... (in the same way handwritings are analized for instance)... food for thought...
